The POM Story
A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You
My name is Dr. Megan St. Angelo, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist born and raised in the state of Rhode Island. I have a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, Massachusetts and received my Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. I’ve been practicing psychotherapy for the last 8 years and founded POM in 2022.
My mission is to build meaningful relationships with my clients and caregivers while delivering psychotherapy from a humanistic, mindful, behavioral, and culturally sensitive orientation. Treating clients throughout the lifespan, I am familiar with the turmoil people can go through relationally, emotionally, and physically. I take a mindful approach to treatment, keeping the client's needs at the center of the treatment planning. When working with children, I value collaboration with the caregivers and professionals that support them daily to promote their success. My expertise comes from providing services in community mental healthcare, providing therapy in client's homes, offering crisis de-escalation, working through parental conflict and collaborating directly with systems of care throughout New England through hospitals, partial programs, family services, and school systems alike. I welcome clients of all identities into the therapeutic space, keeping informed with roles I can assume to promote social justice reform and the impact this can have on mental health growth.

With You Every Step of the Way
At POM, I offer a wide range of services for clients of all ages. I service clients battling anxiety and depression, to complex clinical profiles such as cognitive processing challenges, ADHD, behavioral defiance, trauma exposure, attachment disorders and budding psychosis. When first starting treatment, I will assess ongoing clinical struggles providing diagnostic clarity. Collaborating with my clients and their caregivers, we will discuss the need areas and treatment plan to provide a roadmap for individual, caregiver and/or family therapy sessions. I work with a myriad of family systems, such as blended families, foster and adoptive, court involved, and those working with the Department of Children, Youth and Family involved cases. My areas of expertise are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Communication and Relationship Building, Health Psychology, Exposure Therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment and Trauma Treatment, Safety Planning, as well as Diagnostic Assessment and Treatment Planning.
